The mod allows for weapon and armor skins, but no sound or particle effect mods currently.
The mod works on linux servers and the server I used to test on is a linux server. Linux vs windows wont matter much unless you have custom meshes that require specific type of collision which this mod does not.

Is that meant so that there is no ranged at all including 1h weapons that can be thrown? And would you want bandages or medkits still able to be "fired / thrown" since they use that key too?
It won't unless they're changing the regen for skirmish as well or modifying similar properties.
With the way the mod is currently players can still pick the weapons on their loadout screen, but they will be unable to spawn in with them. If you remove rapier, but select it on your client, you will spawn in with an empty slot on the server.

I dont know why the formatting has gotten messed up, but yes you'll have to add that variable you mentioned in your reply under the MordhauGameMode section in game.ini.
Yes you can remove the config variable for the map. You'll have to add in SpawnServerActors
under the MordhauGameMode section of variables.
If you look in your keybindings you can bind the "Tertiary Spectator Action" key to whatever you want to use to activate the menu. I think the default key is middle mouse button click.
